Daisy Dunn and I are sipping on Cosmos and nibbling on Godiva’s while we talk about her latest release from Siren Publishing- Air’s Passion. Wow! Is that one hot cover!
This is part of a series. Are they any special challenges when writing for a series?
Oh, yes! When writing in a series, you always have to keep in mind that what you write about in one book could come back and play a vital part in another book in the future. You have to do a bit of plotting out, but it’s really a lot of fun.
Tell us about your latest book?
My latest book, Air’s Passion, is part two in my series, Elemental Magic. It’s an M/F/M Ménage about an air elemental, Skye, with the power to control the wind. She is discovered by two brothers, who are also black panther shifters. Both men feel the pull to her and vie for her affection while she is also being hunted by a society determined to eradicate anyone who is not human in their eyes.
Here’s a blurb…
A MFM Menage story with lots of heat!! Black Panther Shifters, Witches, and Elemental Magic!!
Air elemental, Skye, with the powers of the air and wind, has individually met and fallen in love with two brothers, Dillon and Conner, who are also black panther shifters. Torn between the two men, they ask her to make a choice between them. They make love to her, trying to win her heart over and make her decision easier. This only makes the choice harder.
During this time of new discovery, love, and confusion, the Hunters, a syndicate bent on eradicating paranormal beings, are closing in on them. Skye has become a target as they have found a video of her abilities to control the wind. When she’s kidnapped, she must trust the brothers to save her. In turn, they must rely on one of her elemental sisters, with the powers of water, to aid them in their daring rescue of Skye, the only woman they’ve ever loved.

Plotter or Pantser?
I plot a tiny bit by coming up with an idea, but the rest of the time I’m a pantser 🙂
What makes a great hero?
I love a strong, masculine hero, but he has to be romantically tender to the one he loves.
Do you have anything in common with your characters?
Not really…my characters tend to be way more adventurous then I’ll ever be.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
I believe in lust at first sight, but love takes a little longer in my eyes. At least I haven’t experienced love at first site yet.
Have there been any real-life love stories that have inspired you?
My parent’s love has always inspired me.
Who are some of your favorite authors?
I love Christine Feehan, Cassandra Pierce, Jade Astor, Lacie Nation, and Julie Templeton to name a few.
Do you have any advice for aspiring writers trying to get published?
Yes, don’t give up on your dreams. Also, if you get rejected by a publishing house, take their constructive criticism and learn from it. I can’t stress that enough.
What is the hardest thing about being a writer?
Never having enough time to do everything you want to do.
What are you currently working on?
I’m working on Book 4 of Elemental Magic, Water’s Rapture. Book 3, Fire’s Devotion comes out at the end of June 2012.
What do you do when you’re not writing?
I work a full-time job, and write in the evenings and on the weekends. It’s like having two full-time jobs. In my occasional spare time, I like to catch up with my friends going for dinner and drinks.
How can you fans find you on the net?
Facebook: Daisy Dunn
Daisy Dunn considers herself a prairie girl, having lived most of her life in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. A hopeless romantic, Daisy fell in love with reading romance novels at age sixteen, when she bought her first one. She was thoroughly hooked and hasn’t stopped reading romances since.
Daisy always wanted to write, but life has a nasty habit of getting in the way of personal goals. Well, life finally stepped aside, and Daisy started following her passion of writing erotica and erotic romances. Her favorite genre to write is paranormal, but she is not limited to it. She also writes erotica in ménage, fantasy, contemporary, and cougar genres and is hoping to tackle time travel and western someday soon.
